Google Apps
One of my favorite resources to create for teachers is Google Custom Search Engines. These can be used to create a collection of websites you want your students to search or a way to use Google to better search within certain websites.
Here is a list of my Google Custom Search Engines I have created that you are welcome to use. Please let me know if you have any websites or suggestions on how to make these search engines better.
1. Google Apps Public Files (Limit search to Google Docs, Presentations, Spreadsheets, or drawings)
2. Primary Sources (Find primary source images)
3. Promethean Flipcharts (Searches 48 websites)
4. SMART Notebook (Searches over 180 websites including SMART Exchange)
5. Ipad apps. This search engine can be better than Itunes in finding apps by subject or topic.
6. Kidspiration Templates. Searches over 500 templates.
7. Virginia SOL Resources (Searches all the school division websites)
8. Google for software filetypes (Word/Excel/PowerPoint or other software filetypes)
9. Non-copyrighted Images (Search websites that have public domain pictures)
10. 360 photos/movies (Search for 360 pictures/movies)
